Interface at Everest Poker

For people that do not need to play on US poker sites, Everest Poker is a great choice for beginners. For this next entry, I would like to explain the pros and cons of its interface.

As I explained a couple weeks ago, the main problem with Everest’s download free poker site is the large amount of computer resources the program needs. Not everything about the software is bad, however.

Players have come to expect smooth navigation on the best online poker sites, and Everest has done a great job with their lobby and menus. You can choose to search through the various games employing a tabbed menu system, or you can customize it to show you only the games of your choosing. At least one of these options should be more than enough to suit your needs.

One of the best things about being able to play on money poker sites is the ability to play more than one table at a time. You will be happy to hear that Everest Poker tables are fully resizable, but there is something you get that most other sites don’t give: an option for four different resolutions for your tables! These resolutions are 640x480, 800x600, 1024x728, and 1280x960. Combined with the ability to resize your tables to your own custom choices, the Everest Poker download is ahead of most other sites.

In the end, though, the memory problem is still a big one. If they hope to compete with a Bwin Poker download, they will need to give players the option to reduce the use of graphics while playing. You can remove the chip and card animations, but this does little to combat the problem.

If you would rather wait for Everest to give their software an overhaul before playing on their network, there are countless other sites to download. You already know about Tiger Gaming, so why not start there?
